S. Nagini, completed her Masters in Biochemistry from JIPMER, and PhD from Cancer Institute, Chennai, followed by postdoctoral training in Molecular Oncology, University of Liverpool, UK. After her retirement as Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Annamalai University, she continued her academic engagement as a Faculty Fellow. Currently, she is Regional Director, World Neem Organisation, a member of United Nations Global Compact.
During an academic career spanning over three decades, Nagini contributed extensively to curriculum development, postgraduate teaching, and doctoral mentoring. She is the author of 6 books including specialised textbooks, MCQ compilations, as well as a Dictionary of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. Her research has been widely published in international journals and edited volumes, and she has successfully led several national and international research projects. In addition to teaching and research, she has been actively involved in science communication and has served on academic panels, scientific organisations, and journal editorial boards.
