Sree Vardhan Lalam earned a bachelor's degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and master's and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, all in Metallurgical Engineering. For 25 Years he has been working in Research & Development. Prior to that, he spent a very short term in Bharat Heavy Plate & Vessels (BHPV) Ltd., Visakhapatnam and a two-and-half years term in Larson & Toubro (L&T), Bombay. Most of his career he spent in principal activities of welding and brazing of similar and dissimilar materials, solid-state welding, application of Radiographic, Ultrasonic and Acoustic Ultrasonic non-destructive inspection, evaluation of mechanical properties of materials, design and development of nickel base superalloys, directional solidification of superalloys, preparation and implementation of QA and AS9100D management at work places. He has published few national and international journal and conference papers. His other interesting subjects are Physics and Mathematics.
