This book offers an in-depth exploration of the core concepts and advanced techniques that drive modern digital and analog processing. It is designed for graduate students as well as professionals and covers:

• Foundational Concepts: Understand the classification of signals and systems, including time-domain operations and properties that differentiate continuous from discrete signals.
• Analytical Mastery: The text matter helps learn to analyse Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) systems through the Fourier, Laplace, and Z-transforms.
• Digital Filter Design: It helps gain practical insights into designing Finite Impulse Response (FIR) and Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) filters using state-of-the-art methodologies, windowing techniques, and transformation methods.
• Real-Time Applications: Explore problem-solving strategies and real-world applications that bridge theory and practice in modern signal processing.
This book is your gateway to mastering the art and science of signal processing for students aspiring to build a solid foundation. This resource will be equally helpful for an educator or an engineer to refine his technical and analytical skills while negotiating innovations in the dynamic field of signal processing.

Professor Dr. S. Dhanalakshmi, a highly accomplished academician with over 20 years of experience, holds a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiyar University, an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Anna University, and a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University. Currently a Professor at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, she leads the Sensors R&D Laboratory and the iEmbotics student-driven club. Dr. Dhanalakshmi has published over 200 research papers, secured numerous funded projects, and guided seven Ph.D. students. She holds five patents and has received prestigious awards, including the “Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Inspiring Teacher Award” and “Best Woman Engineer Award.” Additionally, she has served as the Founder Honorary Secretary and Chairman of the Institution of Engineers, Kattankulathur Local Centre, and delivered over 30 guest lectures. She is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) and IETE and a Life Member of the Optical Society of India. Dr. S. Hannah Pauline, an Assistant Professor at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, has over 15 years of experience in adaptive signal processing, digital signal processing, and statistical signal analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Statistical Signal Processing from SRMIST, and an M.E. and B.E. from Anna University. Dr. Pauline has published several high-impact papers in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals, focusing on signal denoising, speech processing, and biomedical signal analysis. Her work on low-cost adaptive filtering techniques has earned wide recognition, and she is dedicated to mentoring students and advancing research in her field.
